Lactation Support via Telehealth Consultations
Lactation Room offers consults via telehealth, offering feeding and lactation guidance through our secure virtual platform. Telehealth services are particularly ideal for consultations on returning to work, starting solid foods, pre- and post-natal nutrition, weaning, prenatal feeding education, and management of clogged ducts/mastitis.
Note that BCBS FEP does not cover telehealth visits. If they have any questions or concerns, please contact your insurance company for more details.
Some insurance plans are not allowing lactation care to be covered for virtual consults. Please contact your specific plan prior to your visit to clarify your coverage for virtual care. If you consult is denied, the self-pay fee of $150 for the virtual consult will be required to be paid.
